The Blue Bird Project was brining an existing Café interior into a mountain classy Tuscan Style Restaurant and Wine Bar. A complete gutting of the interior was performed and the space was designed around 3 sitting areas

1. Restaurant Seating
2. Bar Seating
3. Lounge Seating

As the locations of seating were being laid out the circulation was solidified for patrons and servers. Acoustics for these spaces were studied with paneling, materials, fabrics and deflecting soffits. Timbers and heavy grouted stone with roman brick accents will spread the Tuscan theme throughout the Blue Bird. A large gas burner will be one of the focal points for the restaurant as well as the pizza oven and at certain locations candle niches will be carved out of the stone walls. The kitchen will be an semi open concept for guests to be able to view into the kitchen and be part of the preparation of their upcoming meal.

As we studied the front entry it was difficult to understand where the formal entry was when sharing a front façade with a number of other businesses. We elected to create a large stone panel wall which will be sized of 4'x4' to clad the front entry with lighting behind to create a low glow and creating a lantern effect and a sense of interest for the entry that draws the eye here.
