A western ranch style home with a flare of German hill country simplicity is this project’s signature with its cascading structure flowing and bending with grade.
Massive stone faces with monolithic fire stacks will act as the anchors of the design. Glazing, minimal timber and vertical planking will create a patchwork of light materials to compliment the stone. Warm and cool colors will be coordinated into the project.
Circulation will be defined at points yet undefined with other spaces “slurring” into circulation. The circulation will be somewhat linear with major spaces flowing from there. A spacious Kitchen, Dining and Gathering space is created to be the heart of the home for views, entertainment, fireside chats, leisure, and meals. A Master Core area that is separate from the main activity area allowing for privacy and complete views to the Spanish Peaks Range. A lower level contains a Family/Recreation area as well as a Bunk Room and an additional Bedroom. A Ski Room fits well as the place to be for the beginning and end of each ski day.
